Arrival
By car:
Drive via the A10 Tauern Autobahn – Exit Bischofshofen, continue towards Mühlbach/Hochkönig and Maria Alm. Parking spaces are available directly at the hotel.
By train:
To Saalfelden (approx. 10 km) – from there, you can easily continue to Hintermoos by bus or taxi.
By plane:
The nearest airport is Salzburg (SZG), about 1.5 hours away.

Travel Tip
In Austria, there is a toll sticker requirement on the highways. Toll stickers are available at gas stations, rest areas, or online.
In winter, there may be a requirement for snow chains on mountain roads around Maria Alm – please check the current traffic situation before your arrival.
A set of snow chains in your luggage is definitely recommended, especially during snowfall or steeper inclines.
Good to know: The road to Hintermoos is usually well cleared – but please allow a bit more time under winter conditions.

Yes, directly at the Hotel Bachschmied there are free parking spaces available.
In winter, the parking spaces are cleared and easily accessible. Those who wish can simply leave the car parked for the entire stay, as the valley station is located right at the door.

When are check-in and check-out?
Check-in is available from 3:00 PM, and check-out is until 10:00 AM.
Can I drop off my luggage earlier or pick it up later?
Gladly! If you want to arrive earlier or enjoy another day of skiing or a hike after check-out, you can securely store your Luggage at the hotel.
